Classy Jacksonville

Jacksonville, North Carolina, is a beautiful little piece of heaven on the Eastern North Carolina coast and is also home to Marine corps base Camp Lejeune. Few places are as awe inspiring or cultured as Jacksonville is, and fewer towns provide a better night life or chain restaurant scene. This blog intends to document and find out, all the things that make Jacksonville great and what other cities can do to become not only America’s All-American city in 1992, but America’s youngest city. Actionville!

Donny Iler used to be in the marine corps and was stationed at Camp Lejeune. It really got to him and to cope with it, he decided to start writing a satirical blog making fun of Jacksonville. He is now happily back home and going to college in Oregon and has no intention to ever come back to Jacksonville or think about it again (until some Ryan Adams or Whiskeytown song reminds him of it).

Donny Iler has started a new blog to explore other issues beyond Classy Jacksonville. It might be a little less funny, but he’s been wanting to write about some different things besides the great town he used to live in.
